A young college student sits in a cheesy hotel room. Her friends are already partying for spring break and she must wait for morning -- too late on the road and night driving is not her thing. Now she is here in this room and the noises start. They sound like they are coming from the bathroom, but when she opens the door -- nothing. She is a little freaked out, but settles in with a good book. While she reads, It emerges from the bathroom -- a lost spirit, a ghost, who knows, but It moves with calculation until It stands before her, pulsing its drill. "Who are you?" she asks, startled by what looks like a maintenance man. And, boy, is she is right. It is the maintenance man, long dead of some horrendous trauma in this very room. And now, It is here to fix her. She tries to escape, but It is fast, clamping its hands on her neck -- throwing her down on the bed and throttling her with violence and pure hatred. She could not know what had happened to It so many years ago -- the tragic accident that ended its life in the very bathroom It emerged from. And she would never find out because It was killing her. She fought hard, as hard as any young track star could -- her muscles tensing, she could have been inflicting pain on this thing, but how was she to know -- her only concentration was to get the pressure off her neck -- to breathe again. Bucking her hips, kicking her legs, anything for momentum, but the ***** that was this thing would not budge and the pressure that was keeping air from her lungs started to take its toll. She was no longer aware of where she was, or even who she was. Her body was just fighting as best it could, on autopilot, but it was failing her. All the years of track, all the practice, the medals were for nothing now. Her life, only just beginning, was about to end. Quivering was all that she could do, her mouth open and eyes rolling back in her head -- then she was still. Nothing. It looks over her now, taking her clothes off, feeling her flesh. It must remove her clothes for the journey -- into the bathroom. He picks her up, takes her in and she is gone. The next day her best friend Emily arrives. She is worried about her friend and calls her name. She finds her phone and sees her clothes laid out on the bed. Then she is drawn toward the bathroom -- she sees something. She moves closer. The horror of what she finds has only an instant to register before it appears and they fall on the bed together. She fights like crazy, it has it's hands on her small neck. She kicks, one flip-flop flying off, the other onto her bare foot. She fights nearly has hard as her track star friend, Jayde. But, she is smaller, petite and, though she has a great will to live, It is strong and It is prevailing. As she weakens, he eyes grow more wide as if realizing she is about to die. The panic in her mind of what's to come keeps her fighting -- she does not want this to happen to her. This was her first spring break and at 18, she had big plans. She was going to... but then the thoughts simply faded off, and what was once a girl named Emily was gone. The body fought some more, just for a little. When she was dead, It caressed her young soft body, tasting a little of what he could no longer have. It had a mission, something It had to do over and over and over every time someone visited it's room -- Room 14. With her clothes removed, It gathers her up and takes her into the bathroom to join her friend in the mirror -- forever.
